“I love the quote by Jim Rohn that reads: ‘Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment.’ In events, an idea is only as good as its execution and the fortitude to overcome all of the obstacles that pop up along the way. It takes great discipline to be effective in producing amazing events.”
Meagan Tromburg knows a little something about discipline. She’s overseen logistics for hundreds of corporate events, conferences, weddings and social events, around the world.
She’s spent the last 2.5 years, on 6 different ships, sailing throughout the Caribbean, planning a multitude of events for one of the world’s largest cruise lines. Prior to this venture, Meagan was the sole event manager for an event planning company in Chicago, organizing 30 conferences per year. In this role, she handled all of the intricate planning details like booking hotels, negotiating rates, budgeting, invoicing and registration. Meagan got her first taste of the industry when working for a student travel company, planning education & history-focused trips for middle and high school students. In this role she booked over 500 hotels in a year. In every position she’s held in her career, logistics, organization and an extreme attention to detail has been at its core.
Meagan graduated with a degree in Travel & Tourism. And, despite growing up in Seattle, going to school in Rhode Island and extensively traveling abroad, she now proudly calls Chicago her home.
