When BP and their conference partner BPAMA approached TER to produce their 2018 Conference, they were looking for an event partner to help transform their biennial convention and expo and bring new ideas and solutions to the table to attract more attendees and sponsors. This project was right up our alley.

We turned to several new event technologies to modernize, add interaction and engage attendees. Focusing on the forward momentum of the BP brand, our team designed and produced a successful addition to the conference, aptly named the Innovation Center. This new component showcased innovative products and services and demonstrated that BP is pushing to the forefront of the industry with a commitment to continual innovation.

Utilizing gamification technology encouraged interaction between exhibitors and attendees and provided more quality engagement during general session visual presentations and evening event experiences. The app provided the perfect solution for introducing attendees to new ways of doing things without overwhelming them.

We reformatted the general sessions and again used technology differently. This time to design a video mapped scenic set that allowed for visually impactful storytelling throughout each day and award evening. Additionally, we incorporated a live news feed to keep the audience engaged. Activities kept guests on the move, and a mysterious Speakeasy Afterparty provided some fun mystery before Robert Herjavec from Shark Tank closed out what proved to be three-days of very successful education, discovery and brand experiences for attendees.
