When we say we handle a project from concept to completion, sometimes we literally mean it. From the first shovel of dirt, TER partnered with People’s Gas & North Shore Gas to launch a state of the art training facility that trains 1,500 employees per year through classroom and real-life training. It also provides apprenticeships for local students that are interested in the gas industry.
Sometimes projects come with challenges. This one did in the form of Mother Nature who threw a bit of a fit right before the ground-breaking event. Relationships with our event partners are important – not just in good times, but especially in trying circumstances. Because of our long-standing, rock-solid relationships, we were able to provide the client with solutions, fix some of the damage, and the show went on.
Donning hard hats and rolling up our sleeves helped us to push through the challenging weather circumstances and assist our client in producing a high profile grand opening celebration, which introduced the new facility to city dignitaries and VIPs. If you’ve ever worked with dignitaries, you know that navigating the logistics and coordinating schedules are complex. Reschedule five times for him? Yes, we did. Tenacity paid off, and we found an open date for everyone and even Mother Nature couldn’t keep us down.
Previously, the groundbreaking took place, and our team managed emergency preparedness, food, and beverage, tenting and audio-visual for a perfect delivery and execution of the event.
